Is it safe to assume join page linking will be disabled on March 8?

Yes March 8th all links to GIM / BYOT will be redirected to either ARS 4 Real sites or FMAO (where you will be paid per click). You will make the choice of where it goes.

Yeah when we were told "8 weeks" a week or two back, that was just so we all felt safe a secure for a bit, thus causing a few webmasters to have heart attacks and die when the real date was released , thereby thinning out the webmaster population.
